Reckless Fools!
So while BCE are taking a bit of time out, Garth and myself have started up a little ska/punk/rock band with an old friend of mine Tim Williams. This is something we've been talking about doing for a long time and now that we finally have the time we've actually gone and done it!
You can check out RECKLESS FOOLS right HERE on Facebook. It sounds nothing like BCE and is inspired (and ripped off at times) by the 90's punk rock sounds we grew up listening to.
It's nothing too serious and very tongue in cheek at times.. but a hell of a lot of fun. Check it out!!

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
So this coming Saturday the 8th of January we will be playing a very special charity show at The Espy in St Kilda with a bunch of rockin bands. There will be lots of stuff happening there throughout the day with auctions and special guests so be sure to get down there to check it out.
This is also going to be our last show for possibly 6 months or more (or less). It's come to the point where we feel it's best if we take a few months off from touring/writing/recording and revisit it at a later date with a fresh and rejuvinated perspective.
Fear not, we won't be breaking up. If we did that we'd only want to play again a few months later, and we all know how silly it is when bands do that! So come down on Saturday night and get a little crazy with us!!

IN THE STUDIO
The rehearsal studio to be precise... not actually rehearsing, but writing!! That's right, we've re-entered the studio to finish writing our next few releases which we started almost a year ago. We're roughly about 50% done and we're demoing as we go along, so we're hoping to have it all written and to be entering the recording studio either later this year or early in the new year.
Keep an eye on all our social networking sites as we'll be posting up studio diaries covering the whole writing/recording process!!
More details to come x

Behind Crimson Eyes & Cola Wars East Coast Tour July 2010
After 6 years, 400+ shows, 2 EPs, 2 albums and countless bottles of Vodka later, hard rock heavyweights Behind Crimson Eyes, or BCE as they are more affectionately known, will embark on their final shows for the year before heading into the studio to record their follow up to 2009's Self Titled LP.
"We have always been a band that has pushed the conventional boundaries of music" Josh Stuart, the band's frontman, muses. "The way music is consumed these days has changed so much since we started back in 2004, yet we see the same monotonous album release sycle that has been in place for over a decade. We want to do something different, something grand and something that will be more in line with the times.". That 'something' is a 3 part EP series entitled "See You In Hell", with the first chapter set for release later this year, and subsequent EP's a couple of months later.
"We realise that people don't want to have to wait 12 to 18 months to hear new material. This method will enable us to get back to our roots and constantly deliver new music to our fans.".
This 'grass roots' ethic will resonate into their final tour for 2010 where we will see BCE play a selection of music from their back catalogue, including material from their 2004 demo cd's, EPs and the hugely successful first LP, 'A Revelation For Despair', as well as some new tracks. "We wanted this last tour to be a big thank you to all our fans for all their support over the years." Stuart says.
Joining BCE on their final tour for the year is exciting new-comers Cola Wars (ex members of Bodyjar & For Amusement Only) who released their debut record 'Invader' on June 18.

Tassie fun!!
Well we're about three quarters of the way through the 28 Days tour and it's been nothing but good times!!
All the shows have been fantastic and Tasmania over the weekend was no exception. We even took some time out this time around to dine at the prestige Black Cow steakhouse in Launceston, visit the Cherry Shed in Devonport... and we took a 4 hour detour on our way to Hobart only to stumble across an amazing waterfall. How incredibly rockstar of us!! I know, right? Haha!
We've got some more shows coming up including the COLA WARS cd launch here in Melbourne in June, and some others that haven't been announced yet. After they all wrap up in the next few months we'll be hitting the studio to begin work on our new "release".
Stay tuned!!

So we've officially begun the writing process for our 3rd full length album. We dabbled a bit here and there toward the end of last year, writing a few songs and demoing them in between tours, but now we're aiming to have the whole album written and ready to record by the end of April.
We'll also be announcing a national tour through May and June with some good friends of ours so stay tuned for THAT announcement real soon!

Well we've just wrapped up our shows with the always amazing Bodyjar and 28 Days. All the shows were awesome and we had such a great few weeks with the guys and their crew!
We got plenty of footage of all the shenanigans, so I'm sure it will surface somewhere along the line!!
Ok, so we have two final shows for the year, both happening this weekend. Tomorrow night, 27th Nov, we head to Cranbourne for an all ages show (details on the shows page), then on Sunday we play the ROAR @ Billboards show with some amazing bands such as Twelve Foot Ninja and Rook.
We'd LOVE to see you all come out to these shows, as these will be our last for a little while.
On the 10th, 11th and 12th of December we'll be hitting the studio to demo 2 or 3 brand new songs. We're SO freakin excited about this new stuff and we can not WAIT for you guys to hear it. As soon as they're ready we'll whack them up on our myspace etc for you all to hear.
